THE AWESOME PET DOG Six weekly 50-minute classes $150
Wednesday Evenings at The Castle from 6:30 – 7:20 p.m. starting June 24, 2015.
Join us in this class to partner with your dog to train the basic behaviors of sit, down, stand, stay, go to mat, come when called, and leash walking management. If your dog knows these behaviors somewhat, we’ll give you advanced exercises to strengthen them. Plus we’ll address individual training questions from students in the class and do impulse control exercises to help dogs cope with daily decisions. Students must bring a hungry dog and motivating training treats to class each week. Limited to 4 students. (Enrollment closed. Class filled.)

Teaching dogs to control themselves is a big ticket item in dog training. From not jumping on people to not pulling on leash to not jumping over you to get out of the car or running out the front door. That’s a lot of nots! And there’s even more nots than that. If you’d like your dog to “hold his horses” and learn to control his impulses, this is the class for you. Students must bring a hungry dog and motivating training treats to class each week.
GOOD CANINE CITIZEN CLASS AND TEST Six weekly 50-minute classes $150*
Saturday Mornings at Robbins Lodge Park from 10:30 – 11:20 a.m. starting July 25 2015.
This class will be dedicated to teaching dogs how to behave to pass the CGC. We will also focus on techniques for the dog owners to use to gain confidence in handling their dogs during the test and as a good canine citizen in general. The class will culminate in administering the CGC on the last class. For a detailed list of the ten stations covered in class and on the test, contact Helen. Students must bring a hungry dog and motivating training treats to class each week.
TRICKS AND GAMES Six weekly 50-minute classes $150*

A popular class where dogs of all ages use their innate talents such as pawing, jumping, investigating, and following their noses to play games and learn tricks to impress. Bring your old dog to learn new tricks! Bring your young dog to exercise his mind and body! But make sure he’s a hungry dog, so he’s ready to work for the motivating training treats you’ll bring to class each week.

NOTES FOR ALL CLASSES: All classes taught by Helen Verte Schwarzmann, CTC, CPDT-KA, CTDI. Please email LoveWagsATail@gmail.com or call 954-684-5288 to register prior to the first class. Pre-registration is required. Dogs must be at least 4 months old and current on DHPP (Distemper and Parvo) and Rabies vaccines. Vaccination records must be brought to the first class. Dogs must have been in owner’s home for at least seven days and must be friendly towards dogs and people. The Trainer, at her discretion, may remove a dog from class if a hazard or threat of any nature to any other animal or person. The trainer may take photos and/or videos during classes for marketing purposes. Enrollment is limited to six students per class. Dogs should wear buckle, martingale, or quick release collars only. No prong or choke collars, please. Training is through positive reinforcement.
